Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
- Asymptomatic, but presence of complication may indicate they have had diabetes mellitus for several years.
- Lethargy, polyuria, nocturia, and polydipsia. weight loss is less common.
HOW TO DIAGNOSE BY YOURSELF?
You can buy and use a tester "Blood Glucose Tester" which can be purchased at drug stores. Its use is pretty easy. Typically use only a little blood sample at your fingertips. Just wait 5 seconds than the results will appear.
This tool can only be used to test for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Recomendation for normal condition are :
1. normal fasting blood sugar is less than 100 mg/dL
2. postprandial blood sugar is less than 140 mg/dL
3. glucose tolerance is less than 199 mg/dL
